RE: Emporia, Kansas

I stayed at the Emporia Rv park its not bad. Basically, a parking lot. I did not use the bathrooms. It was safe for two week stay. I would secure all your gear though.
Its right next door to the flying J The worst part of the area is the smell from the processing place. Also there is the fair grounds w electric only. If you are a member of the elks they have nice lodge and they let you camp there

RE: Calgon???

Take a 5 gallon bucket, add two cups of any powdered laundry detergent, two cups of
I add the powder last. Use a 5 gallon bucket fill with water half way then do the following
Calgon water softener, and two cups chlorine bleach..........Fill with warm water to mix, then pour into the black tank. Till the tank with water and let sit overnight..................Do the same for the gray tank. The next day head for a dump station, the agitation of towing the trailer will break loose any residue on the tanks. Dump, refill, and dump again. The tanks will now be clean and sanitized.

RE: Atlantic City N.J

I stayed at timberlake recently and there is a lot of full time residents there and felt it was unkept upfront but the back of the campground is nice. I felt butterfly campground was better. I think both are about 1hr from Atlandic city

Koa Pigeon Forge Tn

Thought I would share this with since Koa has come up a few things over the past month here. I had to stay at the koa b/c I could not get my daughter until 7/2 from the outlaws who live up the road from here. First off price $50 for full hooks 30 amp w cable. A little steep for one night but the fact they were close to my former outlaws was important. I pulled in and the pool is up front. Nice size and really clean. Check in was breeze I was really impressed with the 17 yr old who was friendly and professial. I stuck around to check out the store which decently stocked. I like cold beer so I check out the price and it was in line about 1 higher then you would pay elsewhere. I paid 17 dollars for 12 pack at Tremount 3 weeks ago While checking out the store, I heard the young kid conversations with several other people and he was consistant with his professional attidue. When I got set up I wrote a letter to Koa and the managerment of this place with the kids name stating how impressed I was with his attitude.
Sites are tight and close together. Sites also hard to find but the site I had a patio and nice shade. Also, the restroom super clean.
I writing this outside seems like college move in day because ever one is checking for the 4th be glad to head to charleston sc in the am
Lastly, if new to here turn left on Wears Valley Rd light 3 off the main highway no traffic leads right to the place

Philly on a Sunday

Headed to Philly for a few hours before we head west. I search the forums but unsure if parking would be different on a Sunday. I have 16ft TT and an Suv I know parking garages are out but is parking still a problem on a sunday?

RE: Beartooth All American Highway

My daughter lives in Texas and I went down to her school 5th grade to pick up her for the weekend When I went to her class I saw on the wall with the other kids stories of what they did for summer. My daughter wrote about all the great scenary she saw in Montana and the bear tooth highway. Really made my day. Every summer we try to top the summer before but I do not think we will every top that trip!

RE: Rte 287 from Riverton, WY. to Teton's Nat.Park

I stayed at Wind River Rv park Its in a not so good looking area of town but the park is spotless and the guy running is a retired navy officer, I believe. My daughter could not believe how clean the rest rooms were They charge 50 cent to use the shower I took 287 with my TT and had no problems. Not much out there and little or no cell service!

diary queen

My daughter asked me today about a campground we stayed at where they had a diary queen at the campground and she wanted to revisit but could not recall the name of the place. I went thru all my notes and could not find the place I have no idea the city or state. I know its a long long shot but thought if some one out there knows of any campgrounds with a diary queen on site I might be able to figure it out
Thanks
